A focused path
to a patent sale.
A strong opportunity starts with an organized portfolio and a clear commercial story. We support asset review, sale preparation and buyer conversations within an agreed scope. You approve the materials shared and decide whether to accept an offer.
Looking to acquire patents? Share your technology interests, target jurisdictions and acquisition criteria so we can review potential fit.
From assets to opportunity.
Understand the portfolio.
Organize the patent list, stated ownership, patent families, territories and known restrictions. Identify missing information and questions requiring specialist review.
Explore patent valuation →Build the sale package.
Prepare an asset schedule, non-confidential teaser and commercial overview. Agree what may be disclosed, to whom and at which stage. Valuation and additional analysis are scoped separately.
Reach relevant buyers.
Identify relevant buyer profiles, coordinate approved outreach and manage questions and discussions. Your appointed counsel reviews legal documents and closing arrangements.
Connect the rights
with the right market.
Buyer research starts with the technology, claim scope, territorial coverage and commercial relevance of each portfolio.
Technology areas describe potential outreach scope; they do not imply current buyer mandates or offers.
Your decision.
Your agreed scope.
We confirm deliverables, fees, commission if applicable, confidentiality and any exclusivity in a separate written engagement. Sending an enquiry does not appoint a broker, authorize public disclosure or commit you to a sale.
Discuss your
patent portfolio.
Tell us whether you want to sell or acquire patents, your technology area, countries covered and preferred timing. Share public patent references first; confidentiality arrangements can be agreed before sensitive information is exchanged.
Your questions. Answered.
Can I submit a single patent or a university portfolio?
Yes. Inventors, businesses, universities and authorized representatives can start a conversation about a single asset or a portfolio. Suitability is reviewed before an engagement is proposed.
How is the asking price decided?
Pricing depends on the rights, market evidence, commercial assumptions and buyer interest. A valuation can support discussions but is not a guaranteed sale price. Any valuation work is agreed separately.
Does an enquiry make Menteso my exclusive broker?
No. Fees, authority, exclusivity and any commission are agreed separately in writing before brokerage work begins.
Can patents with existing licences be considered?
Share known licences, security interests and other restrictions. Their effect on a proposed sale requires review, and relevant terms must be disclosed during diligence.
Who decides whether to accept an offer?
You do. We coordinate discussions within the agreed scope. Your appointed counsel advises on the sale agreement, transfer documents and closing.
Can buyers enquire as well?
Yes. Include your technology interests, target countries and acquisition criteria. Any matching opportunity remains subject to availability, owner approval and diligence.
